This problem is really strange. I find that once i connect to someone i can usually connect to them again. But once it didn't work when we tried to rematch a game right after!!
Also once someone invited me and it didn't connect, they dissapeared came back in a short while and tried again and it worked!! then for some reason i got dc'd b4 we played and i can't remember his full name so i can't message him to find out what he did to make it work.
Are you guys wireless?? Me and ferocious are having this same problem. I am going to try connecting with a wire and hopefully that works. I am really trying to figure out what that guy did to connect all i can think of is restarting everything (ps3, router)
If all else fails, like you guys ( and me & ferocious)really try everything including using different connections and you can't play at somebody else's house or anything than i think you should bring it up again. Then i know in the rules you are allowed to have someone sub in for you in case of any problems. I think we should be allowed to do that. Because we have really good owners and it would suck to be kicked out just because we can't connect to 1-2 others.
btw ferocious i will have my wired connect ready within 2 days, hopefully you can try the same for just 1 game?

I'd have to agree with the other owner playing in place of the owner having troubles. It can't be an immediate thing though. Forinstance, I can't say "OH, IT DIDN'T CONNECT... YOU GET TO PLAY *some awesome owners name*" I find that kind of lame, but if the connection doens't work, it doesn't work. There's nothing you can do about it so yea, just grab another owner and have them play the game.
My other suggest was going to be maybe having the other person invite you. I know the "home" team wouldn't be home and the away team wouldn't be away in that case, but if the connection works and both kids don't care, then I say Go for it.

I forgot to add in the rules i'm pretty sure it said you would have to discuss with a commish about the substitution, and yea only as a last resort after EVERYTHING was tried multiple times

If you are having a helluva time, and give up, have both owners contact me for an alternate game, I will change scheduled game.
it will screw up playing people in your division twice, but what the hell. so le me know and I will reschedule stuff.

I will try to get a wire to connect, because right now I'm wireless. Funny thing is that this just started to happened. I have never had trouble playing people before. So I will go buy a long Ether cable and see if that works also. Hopefully it does and I can get passes this game.
